The Leo Hoehn Memorial Jamboree

OUR SUPERBOWL
(WITH TROPHIES & RINGS)

The Jamboree is a fun, end-of-season tournament that celebrates the accomplishments and hard work of our teams, players, and coaches throughout the year. It marks the successful completion of another season dedicated to planning, organizing, and ensuring that the kids across Southern Minnesota get the chance to experience the joy and value of our favorite sport.

The event is held in Waseca in honor of Ed Hoehn’s son, Leo. Ed founded the Waseca Youth Football Association when Leo was in fourth grade. From an early age, Leo and his teammates were passionate about football, and just like your player, he couldn’t wait to compete on the field. That first season sparked lifelong friendships and helped the players develop leadership skills they carry with them today — learning to “be better” every day, a motto Ed Hoehn has instilled in every team he’s coached.

NEW FOR 2025! PIGGYBACK RIDES

With so many teams participating this year some of the fields can be a long walk for some of our spectators. With this in mind, we prioritized making accessibility a focus for this year’s Jamboree. SMNYFL invested in a transportation solution that will allow people to save their energy for cheering.

We’ll have a designated ride pick up area at the entrance to the fields. This will be clearly marked so people don’t get confused. Individuals can be dropped off in this area and wait for our golf cart to pick them up. We will monitor interest and usage of this and can provide more carts to accommodate the needs if necessary.
